Working Experience & Practice Areas

Mr. Cai started his career as a patent attorney at Patent & Trademark Law Office of CCPIT in 1984. He worked with China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. since 1993 as patent attorney and director of Mechanical Department. He then co-founded a top Chinese IP firm as senior partner.

During his working experience over thirty years, he has handled over thousands of patent applications for both domestic and overseas clients, including drafting claims and specifications, responding to Office Actions, participating in patent reexaminations and invalidation proceedings. His areas mainly cover optics, electronics, automation control, automobile, hydraulic system, medical equipment, metal materials and electrical appliances etc. Mr. Cai had also been the chief attorney in dozens of patent administrative litigation and patent infringement litigation cases.

Mr. Cai was qualified as a patent attorney in 1985 and an attorney-at-law in 1997.
